Vadodara: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will conduct the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) on March 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 41 exam centers across Vadodara city.

To ensure a smooth and fair examination process while preventing any disruptions, the Vadodara City Police Commissioner has issued a public order enforcing strict regulations.

According to the order, candidates and visitors are strictly prohibited from bringing electronic devices, including mobile phones, walkie-talkies, cordless phones, wireless gadgets, or any other electronic equipment into the exam halls.

Additionally, gatherings of four or more people within a 100-meter radius of the exam centers are not allowed during the exam hours, which run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The use of loudspeakers and photocopying machines near the exam centers is also banned to maintain a peaceful environment.

To prevent any power interruptions, no digging or construction work will be permitted during the exam period.

While these restrictions apply to the general public and students, authorized officials from GSEB will be allowed to use mobile phones for official purposes during the exam.

Violating these rules could result in penalties, as stated in the police commissioner’s order.

The exam will be conducted offline (pen-and-paper) for three hours, covering three sections—Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics—with 40 multiple-choice questions in each section. The question paper will be available in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.

Candidates will earn one mark for each correct answer, with a penalty of 0.25 marks for incorrect answers.
