New delhi: Taking big action on the December 13 Lok Sabha Security breach incident, the Lok Sabha Secretariat has suspended eight security personnel. Yesterday in a huge security lapse, two intruders entered the house from visitors gallery. House was adjourned for a while following the incident, it posed serious questions of the security in the Parliament.
The breach in security came on the day when, today nation observed the 22nd anniversary of the Parliament attack and paid tributes to fallen Jawans.
Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with senior ministers. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, Union Ministers Prahlad Joshi and Anurag Thakur were present. On the other hand, Opposition leaders met in the chamber of the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, in Parliament. It is expected that the opposition will raise the issue of security breach in both houses today.
Also, after Yesterday’s incident, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla stopped the entry to Visitors from onwards. Also, Members of Parliament are allowed entry only from the Makar Dwar and media is positioned a few meters away from there.
