Odisha makes political history: BJP forms government first time

Odisha: After independence, for the first time in history, the BJP party is going to form a government in Odisha. Four-time MLA Mohan Majhi will take the oath as the new CM. PM Modi has reached Bhubaneswar to attend Majhi’s swearing-in ceremony. At 5 p.m the swearing-in ceremony will be held at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar.

Keonjhar MLA Mohan Charan Majhi will take the oath as the first Chief Minister of the BJP at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar. KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida will also take the oath along with him as deputy CMs of the state. Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal said that chief ministers of many states and well-known personalities will attend the swearing-in ceremony.

Along with Chief Minister Mohan Manjhi, KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida will also take the oath as Deputy CMs of the state. At the same time, Suresh Pujari, Rabinarayan Naik, Nityananda Gond, Krishna Chandra Patra, Prithviraj Harichandan, Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Vibhuti Bhushan Jena, and Dr. Krishna Chandra Mahapatra can take oaths as cabinet ministers. Apart from this, Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia, Suryabanshi Suraj, Pradeep Balasaranta, Gokula Nand Malik, and Sampad Kumar Swain can become Ministers of State (independent charge).

Home Minister of the country Amit Shah, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have also reached Bhubaneswar. I will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Odisha’s nominated CM, Mohan Charan Majhi.
