Dehradun, May 9: Vigilance has been increased in sensitive areas of Uttarakhand during Operation Sindoor. Especially, vigilance has been increased on the China-Nepal border. Along with this, instructions have been given to make strict security arrangements for the Chardham Yatra.
15 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in Uttarakhand for the security of sensitive areas and the Char Dham Yatra. Along with this, 11 teams of ATS are also on surveillance.
Home Secretary Shailesh Bagauli said that sensitive areas of the state have been re-identified. After this, instructions have been given to make strict arrangements for surveillance and vigilance there.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah himself is constantly reviewing it. He has especially given instructions to increase the security of the big and important institutions and power plants of the state, including the Char Dham Yatra. On the instructions of Chief Minister Dhami, the entire administration is on alert mode.
On the other hand, the leaves of all officers and employees have been cancelled except in special circumstances. Disaster Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman has given instructions to provide a 24-hour duty at the State Emergency Centre in view of the current circumstances.
For this, 32 additional secretaries and senior officers will do duty at the State Emergency Operations Centre on a 24-hour roster. The government has issued orders in this regard.
Under which, the duty will be done on roster from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 2 pm to 10:00 pm. After this, officers will also be on duty from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
At the same time, instructions have been given to increase vigilance on the international borders of Pithoragarh, Champawat and Khatima areas of the state. In these areas, the state border is connected to Nepal and China border.
SSB and police are constantly engaged in surveillance in the border area. By patrolling the areas adjacent to the international border, the soldiers have obtained information about suspicious people.
Police along with SSB is also working seriously in border areas. Verification campaign of people is being done here.
