Jaipur, May 27: There is an alert of thunderstorm and rain in 16 districts of Rajasthan today. This will continue for the next three days. Along with this, there will be severe heat in 4 districts today.
The weather department has issued a yellow alert for both heat and rain. Earlier on Monday, the humidity level was recorded at 60 to 80 percent or above. Humidity and scorching heat has started in the cities.
On Monday, the maximum temperature of the day was recorded below 20 degrees Celsius in many cities including Jaipur, Sikar, Alwar, Dungarpur, Sirohi, Churu, Nagaur. On Monday, the highest temperature was recorded in Barmer, where the temperature was recorded at 45.2 degrees Celsius.
Temperature below 40 degrees in Jaipur
In the last 24 hours, the sky was clear in most cities and it was sunny during the day. There were light clouds in the afternoon in the districts of Jaipur, Kota, and Udaipur division.
There was light rain and drizzle in Udaipur, Sirohi and Banswara areas after clouds covered some areas in the late evening. There were light clouds in some areas of Jaipur on Monday, too.
Jaipur remained humid throughout the day, and the humidity level was 60 percent during the day. The maximum temperature in Jaipur yesterday was recorded at 39 degrees Celsius.
Lake dried up in Sikar, humidity bothered people
The lake in Rewasa village near Sikar has dried up due to severe heat. Today, the minimum temperature in Sikar has increased by about two and a half degrees. There are light clouds since morning. People are troubled by the humidity.
