New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah is going to hold a high level meeting on Sunday in Delhi’s North Block to take stock of the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. In this meeting to be held at 11 am, preparations for the Amarnath Yatra starting from June 29 will also be reviewed.
NSA Ajit Doval, LG Manoj Sinha, Army and Police including RAW officials may attend the meeting. During this, the Home Minister can give guidelines to intensify counter terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
Last week, terrorists attacked four places in Reasi, Kathua and Doda in Jammu and Kashmir in four days, in which 9 pilgrims including a CRPF soldiers were killed. While many people were injured.
However, two Pakistani terrorists were also killed in an encounter with security forces in Kathua and a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from them.
LG held a high level meeting on Saturday
Earlier on Saturday, LG Manoj Sinha also held a high level review meeting. In this, he directed the officials that the security agencies should work together to root out the terrorist ecosystem in the valley. Those who are helping and sheltering terror and terrorist ecosystem should not be spared.
The meeting also discussed the preparations of the district and police administration before Amarnath Yatra, Yoga Day and Eid-al-Azha.
PM Modi also held a meeting on June 13 regarding the terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir. Many officials of security agencies including NSA Ajit Doval also attended it. PM also talked to Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the deployment of security forces.
Amarnath Yatra is starting from 29th June
Amarnath Yatra is starting from 29th June. This time Amarnath Yatra will be of 52 days. Before the Yatra, the Center has decided to deploy 500 companies of central security forces in the valley to increase security in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to sources, 500 companies of Central Armed Security Forces including CRPF, BSF, ITBP and CISF will be deployed on the route of Amarnath Yatra. Security forces will be brought from Punjab to Jammu.
