CM Kejriwal will remain in Jail: Delhi HC puts stay on release, AAP calls it ‘Hooliganism of Modi Govt’

High Court has stayed the release till the time the court is hearing the matter.

New Delhi: In a shocking update for Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party, Delhi High Court has stayed the release order by the trial court. High Court has stayed the release till the time the court is hearing the matter. High Court allowed the urgent hearing of ED, in which it has opposed the bail given to Delhi CM.

Today the Directorate of Enforcement moved the Delhi High Court against the order of trial court granting bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Excise policy money laundering case.

ASG SV Raju presenting ED in the court said, “We have not been given opportunity to oppose the bail. I was told to finish arguments quickly. I was not allowed. My argument was curtailed. In my reply I was not allowed to argue fully & I was not given opportunity to file written submission. My prayer for stay has not been considered. Let the order be stayed & the matter be heard.”

Hooliganism of Modi Government, says AAP over stay on release

Aam Aadmi Party has reacted on the recent development of stay on release. In a post on X, Sanjay Singh said, “Look at the hooliganism of Modi Government, the trial court’s order has not come yet, even the copy of the order is not available, then which order has Modi’s ED gone to challenge in High Court? What is happening in this country? Why are you making fun of the justice system Modiji, the whole country is watching you?”
