Arvind Kejriwal to launch Punjab election campaign with mega roadshow in Amritsar tomorrow

Days after getting interim bail by the Supreme Court, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is set to visit Punjab on Thursday, sources from the party said.

New Delhi : Days after getting interim bail by the Supreme Court, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is set to visit Punjab on Thursday, sources from the party said.

Party sources said that a mega roadshow will be held in Amritsar on Thursday to mark the kickstart of the Aam Aadmi Party chief’s election campaign for Lok Sabha polls in Punjab.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will also be part of the roadshow that will kick off at 6 pm on Thursday, the party said.
Following the roadshow, Kejriwal will be paying obeisance to Shri Harminder Saheb, they added.

In his first joint election campaign with Congress, Arvind Kejriwal is set to hold two roadshows for Congress candidates at Jahangirpuri and Model Town in the national capital on Wednesday.

CM Kejriwal will hold roadshows in support of Congress candidates Jai Prakash Agarwal, Udit Raj, and Kanhaiya Kumar, according to the Delhi Congress.

Congress and AAP are in a 3:4 seat-sharing agreement in Delhi. Notably, the AAP and Congress “mutually agreed” to go solo in Punjab, but are a part of INDIA alliance and are fighting with alliance in Delhi.

According to the seat-sharing agreement for Lok Sabha polls between the INDIA bloc members in Delhi, AAP is contesting four seats while Congress has fielded candidates in three constituencies.
