Delhi: The Member Parliament of Bharatiya Janata party Anurag Thakur on Thursday said that the party has filed a police complaint against the LoP Rahul Gandhi for assault and incitement.

The BJP leader told the media that they have filed a complaint under Sections 109, 115, 117, 125, 131 and 351. Section 109 is an attempt to murder, Section 117 is voluntarily causing grievous hurt.

“We have filed a complaint with Delhi Police against Rahul Gandhi for assault and incitement. We have mentioned in detail the incident that happened today outside Makar Dwar, where NDA MPs were protesting peacefully.

He also said that the party have given a complaint under Sections 109, 115, 117, 125, 131 and 351. Section 109 is an attempt to murder, Section 117 is voluntarily causing grievous hurt,” he said.

The allegation came after both the parties staged a protest in parliament which led to alleged scuffle and injuries to two BJP MPs, after which both the parties alleged each other responsible for the incident.

Earlier congress president Mallikharjun Kharge in his letter to the speaker alleged the physical assault by BJP MP’s in the parliament.

Both the MPs were rushed and admitted to Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.

Medical Superintendent Ajay Shukla said that both of the leaders suffered head injuries and have been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
