New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit on Opposition in the Parliamentary meeting of Bhartiya Janta Party. BJP Parliamentary meeting was held today in the Parliament Library Building. While addressing the BJP MPs, PM Modi slammed the opposition for their conduct in the parliament over security breach incident. PM said that the opposition is upset over recent defeats in the assembly elections and therefore are disrupting the proceedings in the parliament.

Speaking on Tuesday at the Bharatiya Janata Party parliamentary party conference in New Delhi, Modi also predicted that the BJP would increase in numbers in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and that the Opposition’s behavior in Parliament will guarantee a decline in its numbers.

Talking about the parliamentary meeting, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “PM Modi expressed pain over the incident that happened in the Parliament. Parliament is a place where discussions should be held. Various bills which are important to pave the way for the progress of the country should be discussed in the Parliament…”. He also questioned How can any party that believes in democracy can seek to covertly or overtly justify what happened in the Parliament?

Opposition parties have created ruckus in the parliament over December 13 security breach incident in Lok Sabha. Opposition leaders have demanded a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the parliament. Yesterday more than 90 Members of Parliament from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were suspended for their conduct.
