“BJP will respond in Pakistan’s language as promised by PM Modi”: J&K LoP Sunil Sharma

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Leader of Opposition in the J&K Assembly, Sunil Sharma, on Saturday said the party would welcome veteran politician Farooq Abdullah’s support if he aligns with the BJP’s national agenda.

Bandipora: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Leader of Opposition in the J&K Assembly, Sunil Sharma, on Saturday said the party would welcome veteran politician Farooq Abdullah’s support if he aligns with the BJP’s national agenda.

Speaking to reporters in Bandipora, Sharma said, “If Farooq Abdullah supports the BJP’s agenda, we welcome him. But we hope he stands by his words, especially when he demands strict action against terrorism. He has a history of speaking the language of either Pakistan or China, so we expect clarity this time.”
The senior BJP leader emphasised that the Modi-led government would continue its tough stance against terrorism and those supporting it.

“Pakistan is in confusion and fear. They know this time it is Narendra Modi who will respond in a language they understand,” Sharma asserted.

He further said that the BJP’s decision to halt provisions of the Indus Water Treaty would ultimately benefit India’s own citizens. “Our people are struggling for every drop of water. By stopping the unnecessary flow of water to Pakistan, we are ensuring that our farmers and citizens get their rightful share,” Sharma said.

He added that the BJP would not tolerate any leniency toward terrorism and reiterated the government’s commitment to national security. “We will act tough. There will be no space for those who support or shield terrorists,” Sharma said.
