New Delhi: In a fresh assault on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the crucial Delhi assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a poster and a song emphasizing the terms ‘Sheesh Mahal’ and ‘Aapda,’ which they associate with the Arvind Kejriwal-led party.
The song titled “Sheesh Mahal Aapda Failane Walon Ka Adda” is a twist on Honey Singh’s popular track ‘Lungi Dance,’ while the poster dubbed “Aapda-e-Azam” was unveiled during a press conference by Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva.

These materials were also shared on the BJP’s Delhi unit’s X account. The poster displayed a morphed image of Kejriwal’s face onto the body of what appeared to be a Mughal ruler.
The term ‘Sheesh Mahal’ refers to the bungalow at 6, Flagstaff Road, which Kejriwal previously occupied as Delhi chief minister, and is used by the BJP to accuse him of “corruption.”
In response, the AAP criticized the BJP, highlighting the expenses related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence and travel. Recently, during the “Parivartan Rally” in Rohini, Modi attacked Kejriwal over the “Sheesh Mahal” issue and labeled AAP as “Aapda” (disaster) for the people of Delhi, urging voters to replace AAP with the BJP.
Sachdeva stated that the song details Kejriwal’s “corruption” and his misuse of taxpayer money to create the “Sheesh Mahal.”
Voting for all 70 assembly seats in Delhi is scheduled for February 5, with vote counting occurring on February 8, in what is expected to be a competitive three-way contest, as the BJP and Congress aim to prevent AAP from securing a third consecutive term in power.
