BSF hoists Tricolour at Attari-Wagah border on 76th Republic Day

New Delhi: On the 76th Republic Day, the Border Security Force (BSF) conducted a traditional flag hoisting ceremony at the Attari-Wagah Border in Amritsar, Punjab. BSF Commandant Harsh Nandan Joshi conveyed his Republic Day wishes to everyone present at the border. As part of the celebration, he shared sweets with the soldiers, marking the festive.

BSF Commandant Harsh Nandan Joshi conveyed his Republic Day wishes to everyone present at the border. As part of the celebration, he shared sweets with the soldiers, marking the festive occasion.

In his address to the troops, Commandant Joshi highlighted the significance of national security, asserting that no external forces, including neighboring countries, would be allowed to compromise India’s security. He emphasized, “We view every soldier and citizen as part of our family. Their safety and well-being are our top priority.”

The Republic Day festivities at the Attari-Wagah Border served as a powerful reminder of the BSF’s dedication to protecting India’s borders and ensuring national security, embodying unity, patriotism, and national pride.

As the country commemorates Republic Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier expressed his greetings, wishing the nation well on this significant day. In a post on X, he remarked that this occasion should reinforce efforts to uphold the ideals of the Constitution.

“Happy Republic Day. Today, we celebrate 75 glorious years of being a Republic. We honor the remarkable women and men who shaped our Constitution and ensured our journey is grounded in democracy, dignity, and unity. May this occasion strengthen our commitment to these ideals and work towards a stronger, more prosperous India,” stated the Prime Minister.

President Droupadi Murmu will lead the national celebrations for the 76th Republic Day at Kartavya Path in the capital.
