Cash for query case: LS committee on Ethics calls Mahua Mohitra on October 31

In recent development in cash for query case the Lok Sabha committee on Ethics has called TMC MP Mahua Moitra on October 31. Lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai and BJP leader Nishikant Dubey appeared today in front of LS committee to record their statements in the case. In recent development in cash for query case the Lok Sabha committee on Ethics has called TMC MP Mahua Moitra on October 31. Lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai and BJP leader Nishikant Dubey appeared today in front of LS committee to record their statements in the case.

About the meeting, Vinod Sonkar, Chairman of Parliament Ethics Committee said “The two people who were summoned today – the lawyer and Nishikant Dubey – were heard attentively. After that, it was decided that Mahua Moitra would be called on 31st October. She will come and present her part.”

He also added that IT ministry and MHA will be sent letters to make Moitra’s details available.

After recording his statement, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said “They were normal questions…All I can say is that all the MPs are concerned…When they call me next I will come…The question is whether the propriety and dignity of Parliament will hold. It is a question of the dignity of Parliament. The Ethics Committee is more worried than me.”

After appearing before committee, Lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai said that he has told the truth before committee and he answered what was asked to him.
