Kalaburagi. Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge has hit back at Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for calling Congress leader Sonia Gandhi ‘Super PM’ while replying to the debate on the White Paper in the Lok Sabha.
The Congress leader took a jibe at Nirmala Sitharaman, saying the economy slipped into recession under her watch and that she was “India’s most incompetent” finance minister.
‘Nothing has been achieved in 10 years’
Kharge said, “It has been 10 years since this government was formed and they are still dependent on Pandit Nehru, Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge to remain in the news. This means That he has achieved nothing in the last 10 years.”
The Congress said Nirmala Sitharaman, who is a Rajya Sabha MP representing Karnataka, should have prepared a ‘white paper’ about her contribution to the state.
‘He is the most incompetent Finance Minister’
“He should talk about the 14th and 15th financial injustice being done to Karnataka. He should tell why wages are not being paid to MNREGA workers,” the Congress alleged.
The Congress leader said, “Under her watch, the Indian economy has fallen into recession. She is probably the most incompetent finance minister India has ever had.”

The white paper was discussed this week
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said in the Lok Sabha, “At the heart of the scam-driven government and mismanagement of the economy is the issue of leadership. Sonia Gandhi was a ‘super’ prime minister as chairperson of the advisory council and was an extra-constitutional and irresponsible person. ” The white paper presented by the BJP government in the Lok Sabha has compared the 10-year economic management of the Congress-led UPA government with the tenure of the Modi government, which was tabled in Parliament on Thursday.
