Congress MP Rahul Gandhi meets kin of Hathras tragedy’s victims, says ‘Now we are your family’

Hathras: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has reached Aligarh. He is visiting the homes of the families of the victims of the Hathras accident in Pilkhana village. Rahul first reached Manju Devi’s house. He met her husband Chhote Lal and the family.

Manju Devi and her son died in the Hathras accident. Rahul took information about the accident. During the meeting, he assured all possible help to the victim’s family. Manju Devi’s daughter said, ‘There has been negligence in the medical. We were not helped the way we should have been. Rahul Gandhi assuring all possible help said that the congress party people will help them. Don’t take tension at all, we are here. He said that now they are our family members.’

The family said that there were no arrangements in the Satsang, due to which there was a stampede there. Rahul also visited the homes of two more families Shanti Devi and Premvati in Pilkhana village.

He left Delhi at 5.40 am on Friday. Rahul will also go to Hathras after Aligarh. This is Rahul’s first UP tour after becoming the Leader of Opposition. Earlier, he had come to Rae Bareli after winning the election.

After the Hathras accident, CM Yogi also visited Hathras on July 3. He met the victims and their families in the hospital. Here, the first meeting of the judicial commission constituted to investigate the accident was held on Thursday evening at Naimisharanya in Sitapur district. Commission chairman retired judge Brijesh Srivastava said- very soon the commission’s team will go to Hathras and collect evidence.
