Dehradun: Police take nine youths in custody following a vehicle collision

Dehradun: A clash erupted in Bhogpur, Rani Pokhari, Dehradun, following a collision between two vehicles. The altercation escalated into a disturbance, but the Dehradun police quickly responded, arriving on the scene to take control. Nine youths involved in the incident were detained, and both vehicles were confiscated. In other police actions, Haridwar police arrested three.

Dehradun: A clash erupted in Bhogpur, Rani Pokhari, Dehradun, following a collision between two vehicles. The altercation escalated into a disturbance, but the Dehradun police quickly responded, arriving on the scene to take control. Nine youths involved in the incident were detained, and both vehicles were confiscated.

In other police actions, Haridwar police arrested three repeat offenders near the Canal Patri Overbridge, resolving two theft cases in Roorkee’s Eimli Road and Sherkothi Pathanpura. They recovered stolen items, cash, and a motorcycle used in the crimes.

Additionally, police recovered Rs 50,000, a gold chain, and three rings from an accused involved in a theft from a Haridwar-based hotel, using over 350 CCTV cameras and coordinated efforts between Haridwar and Ambala police.

In another operation, Uttarkashi police arrested a youth with 151.77 grams of illegal opium near Kharsali Bridge during a check under the Drugs Free Devbhoomi Mission; a case was registered under the NDPS Act.

Meanwhile, three individuals were rescued after their vehicle fell into a deep ditch on Glogi Dehradun Road. The rescue operation involved multiple agencies, and the accident victims were taken to a hospital.
