Delhi’s Urban Entrepreneurs Honored by Nirmala Sitharaman at Swiggy’s ‘She The Change’ Event

This initiative highlighted the role of food delivery platforms in encouraging and promoting women's entrepreneurship nationwide, recognizing female entrepreneurs from across India for their outstanding contributions to the industry.

 New Delhi: City girls Binita Chamling, owner of Nimtho & Momogogo and Geetika Anand Gupta, owner of Mad Over Parathas and Pakoras, were felicitated by the Honourable Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Government of India, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman ji at the Swiggy “She The Change- From Vision to Venture” event conducted in New Delhi.

This initiative highlighted the role of food delivery platforms in encouraging and promoting women’s entrepreneurship nationwide, recognizing female entrepreneurs from across India for their outstanding contributions to the industry.

Binita Chamling, owner of Nimtho & Momogogo, Delhi said “With a dream in mind, I established an organic store and restaurant in Greater Kailash, Delhi in 2014. When COVID-19 struck and our establishment faced challenges, the magic of Swiggy’s Cloud Kitchen came to our rescue. Swiggy played a significant role in facilitating our transition. Today, we have five kitchens in the pipeline for Delhi NCR this year.”

Geetika Anand Gupta, owner of Mad Over Parathas and Pakoras, Delhi also echoed the sentiment sharing gratitude on the honour and Swiggy’s support.

Swiggy has more than 50,000 women-run restaurants on its platform, generating approximately three hundred thousand jobs, building India’s vibrant economy.
