Ayodhya: The influx of devotees to Ayodhya continues to be substantial following the holy dip during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, which took place on Sunday. Thousands of devotees are streaming into the Ramlala Darshan Marg for their spiritual experience.

One devotee mentioned, “We traveled from Prayagraj to Ayodhya. The crowd is huge, but darshan is accessible. Ramlala is easily visible, and the arrangements made by the administration and police are commendable.”

Dr. DK Saha, a devotee who arrived from Delhi with several members from health departments, expressed his initial concerns about the crowds but praised the organization: “Initially, we feared the crowd would hinder our darshan of Lord Ram, but we are impressed by how well everything is managed. Thanks to Yogi ji and PM Modi, it’s all very well arranged. We’re heading to Kashi and then back to Prayagraj. Our worries about the crowd have turned into comfort and joy. The arrangements are excellent, and we are thankful.”

Many devotees are coming to Ayodhya to pray at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple. To manage the large gatherings, railway authorities have established a three-tier security system, deploying over 300 personnel and implementing advanced screening procedures for daily crowds numbering up to 150,000 passengers. Additionally, more than 200 CCTV cameras have been set up, according to an official statement.

Sonal, another devotee visiting Ayodhya, shared her experience: “After visiting Prayagraj and witnessing the impressive arrangements there, I found Mahakumbh to be well-organized. It’s a remarkable achievement of the Yogi government, and their efforts really show. We are looking forward to returning. Despite the large crowd, the excitement of visiting the Ram temple is palpable. We waited a year for this opportunity. The crowd is indeed massive, but the arrangements have been good overall.”

The Maha Kumbh Mela, which started on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is known as the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering, drawing devotees from around the world. The event will run until Mahashivratri on February 26.
