Chandigarh Traffic Police have issued an advisory and guidelines in view of Diljit Dosanjh’s concert today. Police have made arrangements so that people do not face any problems in commuting due to Punjabi singer Diljit’s show to be held on 14 December i.e. today evening in Sector-34 of Chandigarh. At the same time, there is no parking facility in Sector 34 for the people coming to attend the program.
The police have designated some places where people will have to park their vehicles. From there they will have to reach the program through shuttle bus service or Ola and Uber. 2400 traffic police personnel will keep an eye on all these arrangements. People have been advised to follow the said route so that people do not have to face any kind of problem.
The police has advised people to avoid going on the roads near Sector-34 Exhibition Ground and Sector 33/34 Dividing Road. There may be heavy traffic flow at Piccadilly Chowk (Sector 20/21-33/34 Chowk) and New Labour Chowk (Sector 20/21-33/34 Chowk), so they should avoid traveling towards these squares after 4:00 pm.
Entry will be restricted from Sector 33/34/44/45 from 33/34 Light Point to New Labour Chowk, Sector-33/34 Light Point to Sector-34/35 Light Point, T-Point Sham Mall to Polka Mor after 4 pm.
From Gaushala Chowk (Sector-44/45/50/51) towards Faidan or Kajheri Chowk; Sector-44/45 Light Point (Double T) towards South End or Guru Dwara Chowk; Bhavan Vidyalaya School T Point towards Sector-33/45 Chowk.
There is no parking facility in Sector-34. People coming from TPT Light Point will get parking facility at Sector-17 Multilevel Parking, Sector-17, while those coming from the Mohali side will get parking facility at Dussehra Ground Sector-43, open ground in front of Laxmi Narayan Temple Sector-44, Dussehra Ground Sector-45. For vehicles coming from Tribune Chowk, parking will be available at Mandi Ground Sector-29. From where shuttle bus service will be available to the venue. Spectators will have the option of shuttle bus, Ola, or Uber taxi from the designated parking places.
