The tremors occurred at 10:23 am, at a depth of 36 km, with the quake’s epicenter recorded at 24.55°N latitude and 93.70°E longitude. No casualties have been reported so far, and further details are awaited.
Earlier, on Friday, a smaller earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8 was felt in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. That tremor happened at 1:10 am, at a depth of 10 km, with coordinates at 27.51°N latitude and 92.12°E longitude. The NCS posted these details on X, confirming the seismic activity in both regions.
