Navi Mumbai: Authorities are currently working to control a significant fire that erupted in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area of Shiravane, Navi Mumbai, according to reports from officials. Fire officer SL Patil stated that efforts are being made to extinguish the blaze as quickly as possible.
Twelve fire engines are deployed at the scene, and Patil confirmed that there are no reported injuries so far. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. The incident was first reported around 11 PM on Friday night, prompting the immediate response from the fire brigade. Further updates are pending.
In a related incident, another fire broke out on Thursday at an industrial site near Mahakali Caves in Mumbai’s Andheri area. Additionally, multiple furniture stores at Azad Chowk in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar also experienced a fire on the same day. Inspector Dilip indicated that the fire in the furniture shops may have been caused by a short circuit, but it has since been brought under control, and extinguishing efforts are ongoing.
