New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his warm greetings to the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, wishing for an increase in hope, harmony, and kindness within society.
In a message shared on his social media account, PM Modi said, “Eid Mubarak! May this festival enhance the spirit of hope, harmony, and kindness in our society. Wishing you joy and success in all your endeavors.”
Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan for Muslims, is being celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm. It is one of the most significant festivities in the Islamic calendar, symbolizing joy, generosity, and unity as communities gather to share meals, exchange gifts, and pray for peace and harmony.
Earlier in the day, President Droupadi Murmu also conveyed her heartfelt greetings for Eid-ul-Fitr, emphasizing that the festival promotes brotherhood, compassion, and charity. In her message on the social media platform X, President Murmu addressed all countrymen, especially the Muslim community: “This festival strengthens the feeling of brotherhood and inspires compassion and charity. I wish that it brings peace, prosperity, and happiness to everyone and encourages us to advance on the path of goodness.”
Various other prominent leaders shared their Eid wishes. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed, “Greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr. May this festival bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to all, and strengthen the bonds of harmony and brotherhood in our society. Eid Mubarak!”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also conveyed his best wishes, highlighting that Eid-ul-Fitr promotes happiness and social unity. He stated that the festival represents peace and harmony, urging everyone to commit to strengthening community bonds.
Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, shared his warm wishes on X, stating, “Warmest wishes for Eid-ul-Fitr. May this joyous occasion fill every heart with peace, love, and endless blessings. Eid Mubarak!”
Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju joined in with his greetings, posting, “Wishing everyone a joyous and blessed Eid-ul-Fitr! May this special day bring happiness, prosperity, and new opportunities for all. Let’s celebrate the spirit of togetherness and gratitude with our loved ones.”
