He emphasized the need for proper security arrangements, highlighting that festivals of all religions have been celebrated peacefully in the state over the past eight years, and this harmony should continue.

Particularly focusing on Holi, which falls on March 14, Adityanath noted the sensitive nature of the period surrounding Holika Dahan on March 13 and urged heightened vigilance to prevent any disruptions caused by “mischievous elements.” He also called for the identification and action against illegal intruders and Rohingyas.

The Chief Minister addressed complaints regarding the use of illegal loudspeakers at religious sites, insisting that sound should not extend beyond the premises. He ordered officials to issue notices for violations and enforce strict measures if non-compliance persists.

Additionally, he reviewed preparations for the Maha Kumbh’s final bathing festival on Mahashivratri, set for February 26, directing officials to ensure effective traffic management and minimize walking distances for devotees heading to the Sangam. He stressed the importance of coordination among the Maha Kumbh Mela administration, Prayagraj authorities, and neighboring districts.

On Mahashivratri, he noted that 15 to 25 lakh devotees are expected at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi and called for a structured action plan tailored to the region’s needs. He also mentioned the grand procession of revered Akharas at the temple and the necessity for coordination with the seers to facilitate a smooth experience for both devotees and Akhara members. Furthermore, he directed officials to prepare a crowd management plan for various processions on Mahashivratri at Nageshwarnath Dham, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, and Mahadeva in Barabanki.
