Mumbai: Five people died in a collision between a passenger bus and a tractor on the Mumbai Pune Expressway. While the condition of 7 people is critical. At the same time, 42 people are said to be injured in the accident. 5 people lost their lives in this fatal accident.
Police said that at the time of the accident, the passengers on the bus were going to Pandharpur to celebrate Ashadhi Ekadashi. Meanwhile, the bus collided with a tractor near Panvel and fell into a 20-feet-deep ditch.
A total of 54 people were on board the bus at the time of the accident. 7 seriously injured people have been admitted to Panvel Sub District Hospital. At the same time, the other injured have been admitted to MGM Kamothe Hospital. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem.
Police said that four passenger buses from Kalyan Dombivali were going to Pandharpur to celebrate Ashadhi Ekadashi. Meanwhile, at around 12:30 at night, a bus collided with a truck and fell into a roadside ditch.
The police team pulled out the passengers with the help of local people and sent the injured to the hospital for treatment.
After this, the bus was pulled out with the help of two hydras. After this, the bus was searched but no one was found injured or dead. Due to the accident, there was a traffic jam on the Mumbai-Pune highway for about 2 hours.
