New Delhi – A significant fire broke out at the Makkar Multispeciality Hospital in Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar on Sunday night, though no casualties have been reported.
Emergency services were quick to respond, with the Delhi Fire Service actively working to control the blaze. Several patients and their families were reportedly trapped inside the hospital at the time of the incident.
Upon receiving the alarm, police from Laxmi Nagar and nearby areas rushed to the scene alongside a team from the Delhi Fire Service to initiate rescue operations. Multiple fire tenders were dispatched immediately to combat the fire.
Witnesses described chaotic scenes as flames engulfed parts of the prominent healthcare facility. While the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, officials suspect it may have been triggered by an electrical malfunction.
