Deadly ambush: 4 Armymen martyred by terrorist in Kathua

During these engagements, an Army personnel lost their life.

Kathua (J&K): Terrorists have once again attacked the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. Exactly 27 days later, terrorists have committed another incident in the district. The terrorists ambushed an army vehicle.

Four army soldiers were martyred in this. After the attack, the army has cordoned off the area. Additional soldiers have been deployed on the spot so that the terrorists do not get a chance to escape. Earlier on June 11, a terrorist incident took place in Sohal village of Hiranagar in Kathua district. Two terrorists were killed in this. While a CRPF soldier was also martyred.

Following recent operations in Kulgam and Chinigam, an Indian army convoy was attacked by terroists in Machedi, Kathua district on Monday.

The areas falls under the 9th corps of the Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir.

Since the last attacks security forces are actively addressing the incident, underscoring the consistent challenges in maintaining stability in the area amidst continous efforts to fight against terrorism.

According to the officials, two army soldiers sustained injuries in the initial firing by the terrorists. The injured soldiers have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.

Defence officials reported that following terrorist firing, Indian troops retaliated; further details are awaiting. Meanwhile Brig. Prithviraj Chauhan, Commander of 1sec RR, stated on Monday that six terrorists were killed in separate encounters J&K.

The operations underscore the ongoing efforts of security efforts of security forces to combat terrorism in the area. And made in ensurity the safety and security of the area.

During this operation six separate encounters occured in J&K, first in Modergam village and the second in Chinnigam area. Region has seen an increase in terrorist activities, with recent incidents inluding neutralized of three terrorists in Gandoh, Bhaderwah areas in June month as reported by ADGP Anand Jain.
