Amravati (Andhra Pradesh): Former DRDO Chairman G Satheesh Reddy met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at the state Secretariat to discuss the potential for significant investment opportunities in the defense sector in the state. Reddy, accompanied by 50 aspiring industrialists, outlined industrial development prospects across various regions of the state, particularly in defense. He expressed his commitment to supporting the establishment of industries and sought assistance from the state government for the same.

In response, CM Naidu assured the provision of swift approvals, necessary infrastructure, and land allocations for the proposed projects. The meeting also saw the participation of Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath and Amalapuram MP Harish.

Additionally, in a step towards enhancing skill development, the Andhra Pradesh government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft to promote skill development in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced technology among the youth. The MoU, signed in the presence of IT, Electronics, and Education Minister Nara Lokesh, aims to equip secondary school children and young people with basic AI and technology skills. Microsoft will train over 200,000 youths within a year, with a focus on AI and cloud computing. The agreement also includes training 500 teachers and 10,000 engineering students from 50 rural engineering colleges in the state.
