New Delhi: In a major development, Former IAS officer Rajesh Khullar will be appointed as the new Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG). The decision was joined by the transfer of outgoing LG VK Saxena to Jammu and Kashmir, as per sources. In Jammu and Kashmir, he will take office as the new LG, replacing Manoj Sinha.
Rajesh Khullar is a 1988-batch IAS officer from the Haryana cadre and served as a former Haryana Chief Secretary. He has held top-level posts both in Haryana and at the Centre. He served as the Principal Secretary to former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and was also trusted by Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, making him a rare bureaucrat respected across party lines.
