Uttarkashi, May 23: A bus full of passengers lost control and overturned near Nalupani on Gangotri Highway on Friday afternoon. As soon as the bus overturned, the pilgrims started shouting. More than 8 people are reported to be injured in the accident. Other pilgrims have suffered minor injuries. As soon as the information of the incident was received, SDRF, police and the rescue team reached the spot and rescued the pilgrims and sent them to the hospital. Where they are undergoing treatment. The bus is said to be from Madhya Pradesh.
The bus escaped from falling into the ditch
Passengers from Madhya Pradesh were going to Gangotri Dham for darshan. Meanwhile, the Dharasu Nalu bus on the Gangotri highway lost control and overturned in the middle of the water. There were a total of 45 passengers in the bus; luckily, the bus overturned and stopped on the road. Due to which no major accident occurred. If the bus had fallen into the ditch, a major accident could have occurred.
The injured passengers were admitted to the hospital
According to the police, all the injured passengers have been rescued and admitted to the district hospital, where they are being treated. Some other people have suffered minor injuries and have been treated on the spot and sent to a safe place.
At present, the bus has also been straightened, and the sound has started on the highway. During the accident, the people nearby immediately reached the spot and helped the injured.
