Girl student dies by suicide at Hyderabad college hostel, family raises doubts

The college notified her family in Sangareddy district that she had lost consciousness, and by the time they arrived, they were informed that she had died by suicide, with her body already sent to Gandhi Hospital.

The family confronted the college management, questioning why the body was moved without their knowledge, and blamed the institution for her death. In response, police officers intervened, explaining that the body was taken for autopsy.

The deceased, named Anusha, hailed from Nagireddypalli village near Zaheerabad in Sangareddy district. A case has been filed at the Bachupally Police Station under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.Reports indicate that Anusha was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her hostel room between6:30 p.m. and7 p.m. The family voiced their concerns, urging the police to consider the death suspicious. A police spokesperson stated that the investigation would cover all aspects, and if the college management is found to have acted negligently, appropriate action will be taken. Following the incident, police reportedly waited two hours before transporting the body for an autopsy.
