Gurugram: In an innovative move, the Gurugram police are set to implement a QR code feedback system across all police stations in the district, officials announced. This initiative was unveiled by Vikas Arora, the Gurugram Commissioner of Police, following his engagement with community feedback on police performance.
A special event was held at the Sadar police station to kick off this initiative, where the Commissioner discussed its details as the chief guest. He emphasized that the introduction of QR codes is aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of police actions.
The upcoming QR code system will allow visitors—whether they are victims or individuals seeking assistance—to easily share their experiences and provide ratings on police conduct. By scanning the QR codes at the stations, individuals can access an online form to give feedback, which includes options for star ratings, their name, contact number, date of the incident, type of complaint, the officer involved, and an assessment of services like station cleanliness and staff availability.
The insights gathered will help evaluate the performance of each police station, leading to improvements based on the feedback. Commissioner Arora explained that the primary goal of this initiative is to address community complaints effectively, identify areas for improvement in police operations, and foster a more responsive working environment.
The launch event was attended by notable police officials, including Gaurav Rajpurohit, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), and Karan Goyal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), along with various other officers and staff.
