New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s New Delhi assembly constituency candidate Parvesh Verma on Saturday alleged the AAP for looting Delhi people Tax has challenged Chief Minister Atishi to open the doors of ‘Sheesh Mahal’, official residence of the CM, to the public.
Speaking with the reporters Verma said that he wants to take all the people of Delhi to see Sheesh Mahal. I am writing a letter to CM Atishi to open the doors of Sheesh Mahal because the people of Delhi want to see what happened to the tax they paid.
He further claimed that Rs 100 crore had been spent on the residence to put up various amenities.
“People want to see how their chief minister was, and how they live,” Verma added.
Speaking about his electoral rival in the New Delhi assembly seat, Verma said that he hoped AAP’s national convenor ‘does not run away from the New Delhi seat.
He also said that he want to work for the people of Delhi, and my workers are ready. I just hope Arvind Kejriwal doesn’t run away from the New Delhi seat, because the people here have elected him three times so he has to be accountable for his work and whatever the decision of the people will be.”
Verma, a former MP and son of former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma, will be facing former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit, son of former Delhi CM Shiela Dikshit, in a three-cornered contest in the upcoming Delhi assembly election.
The Election Commission has yet to announce the dates for the polls.
