Income tax raid at residence of CM Hemant Soren’s personal secretary

According to the information, Income Tax raids are going on at seven places in Ranchi and around nine places in Jamshedpur.

Ranchi: Income Tax raids have been conducted at the house of Sunil Srivastava, personal secretary of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The team has raided 17 places related to Sunil Kumar Srivastava. According to the information, Income Tax raids are going on at seven places in Ranchi and around nine places in Jamshedpur.

Other places including Anjania Steel in Jamshedpur are also included. Detailed information about the raids is yet to come. This action of Income Tax has come at a time when the first phase of voting is to be held on November 13.

According to the information, the Income Tax Department had received information about the transaction of money with the help of hawala in the assembly elections. On this, IT raided 35 places in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Giridih and Kolkata on 26 October. During this, documents related to benami property and investment worth about Rs 150 crore were seized.

Also, after matching the amount found during the raid with the books of account of the traders, Rs 70 lakh was seized and deposited in the bank. Its strings are also connected to the Jharkhand elections. This raid is also being linked to this. However, there has been no official confirmation.
