Patna: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday expressed grief over the demise of former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi. Terming the demise of Sushil Modi as Unfortunate, he said that demise of Sushil Modi is an irreparable loss for Bihar Politics.
“The demise of Sushil Modi is very unfortunate, it is an irreparable loss for Bihar politics. He was a leader who strengthened the party and gave direction to the party,” Samrat Choudhary said while talking to media.
Earlier last night, he shared a post on X. He said, “Heartfelt tribute to former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and former Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sushil Kumar Modi ji on his demise. This is an irreparable loss for Bihar BJP. Om Shanti Shanti”
Last night, Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, who had been battling with cancer for the last seven months, passed away at the age of 72. He was in AIIMS Hospital in Delhi undergoing treatment.
The last rites of the former Rajya Sabha MP will be performed later in the day. Earlier, Sushil Modi announced that he was undergoing treatment and would not take part in the Lok Sabha elections.
