Jalandhar: A massive fire broke out in a shop named Shiv Motors located in Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Nagar on Dhogri Road in Jalandhar, Punjab. The cause of the fire is not clear at the moment. Two vehicles and other goods were badly burnt to ashes in the incident.
The shop owner has suffered a loss of lakhs of rupees in the incident. The fire was brought under control with the help of about 4 fire brigade vehicles.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out at around 1 o’clock in the night. Vehicle renovation work was done at Shiv Motors. The watchman of the locality was the first to know about the fire who started shouting after seeing the fire. After which the people of the locality immediately gathered.
The fire was so terrible that the fire reached the houses built on the back side of Shiv Motors. Later the information about the matter was immediately given to the fire brigade control room. The teams controlled the fire after about 2 hours of hard work.
Fire brigade officer Naresh Kumar said that at around 1.30 in the night, information was received from the control room that the incident had taken place at the said place. After which he immediately reached the spot to control the fire. Till late night it was not clear why and how the fire broke out.
All the stuff lying inside was burnt to ashes due to the fire. The officer said that the report would be sent forward after investigating the incident site.
