Jalandhar: The District Administration, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal on Monday extended a humanitarian gesture by providing refreshments to stranded passengers of the Pune-Jammu train at Jalandhar Cantt Railway Station.
Following the Deputy Commissioner’s directive, a team of Red Cross Society volunteers swiftly reached the station to assist the passengers affected by the unexpected halt. The volunteers distributed tea, biscuits, water, bread, and food packets, offering warmth and comfort to the stranded individuals.
Secretary Red Cross Society highlighted that the initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to addressing public needs during exigencies. The passengers, who were visibly relieved by the support, appreciated the administration’s proactive efforts and reciprocated with gratitude.
