Jammu and Kashmir: Two soldiers killed in Kishtwar, Three terrorists gunned down in Baramulla

Security forces have surrounded 3-4 terrorists hiding in the forests.

Baramulla: The recent development in the operation that was underway in Baramulla is that three terrorists have been shot down during the gunfight. The encounter started between army and terrorists on the intervening night of 134 and 14 September.

Two army personnel were martyred in an encounter with terrorists on Friday (September 13) in Chatru, Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir. Two soldiers are injured, who are undergoing treatment. The martyred soldiers in the Kishtwar encounter have been identified as Naib Subedar Vipin Kumar and Sepoy Arvind Singh of White Knight Corps. Security forces have surrounded 3-4 terrorists hiding in the forests.

Soldiers killed in Kishtwar

According to officials, they had received intelligence about the presence of three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists in Nadgham village of Chatru belt. After this, the security forces conducted a search operation. According to news agency ANI, the encounter started around 3:30 pm on Friday. The operation is ongoing. A local resident said that the army has surrounded the area and the situation is serious.

On the other hand, an encounter also started in Chak Teper Kreeri Pattan area of ​​​​Baramulla late Friday night. Kashmir Zone Police gave this information in a post on X. Police and army are present on the spot. At present, not much information has been revealed. The encounter broke out on intervening night off 13-14 September in the general area of Chak Tapar Kreeri, Baramulla.

Terrorists killed in Udhampur

Two days ago, 2 terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Udhampur. The army said that the soldiers of the Army’s First Para had received information on Wednesday morning that 2-3 terrorists were hiding in the forests of Khandra Top in Udhampur.

After this, a search operation was conducted in collaboration with the police. At 12.50 pm, the terrorists opened fire on the soldiers. In response, the soldiers also fired. After an encounter that lasted for about four hours, the security forces killed all three terrorists.

The first phase of voting for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections is to be held on September 18. Seven days before this, there has been an encounter and ceasefire violation in Udhampur. Therefore, the security forces have been put on alert.
