J&K: Two terrorists killed in encounter in Hadipora, One soldier also injured

An encounter is going on between terrorists and security forces in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday (June 19). Two terrorists have been killed in Hadipora area here, while a soldier of Special Operations Group has been injured.

A joint team of police and army had launched a search operation to find the terrorists in Hadipora. As soon as the security forces reached the suspected hiding place of the terrorists, the terrorists started firing on them.

Earlier on Monday (June 17) morning, security forces killed terrorist LeT commander Umar Akbar Lone alias Jafar in Bandipora. He was a resident of Pattan. 2 to 3 terrorists are suspected to be hiding in the area. Army operation is going on to search for them.

The sound of firing was heard in the forests of Aragam on Sunday (June 16). After this, the army and police conducted a search. When the search was intensified on Monday morning, the terrorists opened fire. In the drone footage, the body of the slain terrorist Jafar was seen lying in the forest.

Investigation of Reasi attack handed over to NIA
The investigation of the terrorist attack on the bus of pilgrims in Reasi on June 9 has been handed over to NIA. After the order of the Home Ministry, a new FIR has been registered in this case.

On June 16, the Home Minister held a meeting regarding the security arrangements of Jammu and Kashmir. In which he had instructed to crush terrorism and also take strict action against those helping the terrorists.
