The couple’s tragic love story ended when Gangamma’s family opposed their relationship, leading to their murders. The Gajendragada police conducted an investigation and filed a First Information Report (FIR) under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including those related to mischief causing damage, house trespassing, murder, and criminal intimidation. According to the police, Ramesh (29) and Gangamma (23) were brutally killed by their enraged relatives, who assaulted them with stones. The couple left behind two children.
