At the Ayodhya Deepotsav event, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the need for Kashi and Mathura to shine as brightly as Ayodhya. Speaking at a program held at Ramkatha Park for Deepotsav 2024, he noted that the BJP’s “double-engine government” has fulfilled all promises made to Ayodhya, and hinted that the city should reciprocate this support during the upcoming Assembly bypolls.
CM Yogi urged that the trials faced by Mother Sita, specifically her ‘Agni Pariksha,’ should not be repeated and called for moving beyond such tribulations. He reflected on the sacrifices of over 350,000 individuals who aspired to see a Ram temple in Ayodhya, stating, “Their vision has been realized” with Lord Ram now reinstated in the city, marking this as the first Deepotsav since his enthronement.
He highlighted the transformation of Ayodhya, pointing out that before 2017, the city struggled with poor infrastructure and neglected sites. Yogi noted that Uttar Pradesh, being the most populous state, plays a vital role in India’s progress.
The government is actively organizing programs in key cultural locations, including Kashi, Ayodhya, Mathura, and others, to blend heritage with development. He assured a focus on improving health, education, employment, and safety in places like Naimisharanya and Shuktirtha under the commitment of the double-engine government.
Addressing law and order, he remarked that significant criminals are facing repercussions akin to those encountered by mythological demons when the law takes its course. He stressed the importance of replicating Ayodhya’s developmental systems in Kashi and Mathura to combat poverty and suffering throughout the state.
Expressing pride in India’s democratic principles, CM Yogi noted that on January 22, global Sanatanists acknowledged Ayodhya’s importance to democracy. He highlighted Ayodhya’s unique position as a success in legal implementation and defended the existence of God, asserting that doubts reflect poorly on one’s faith.
In discussing Sanatan Dharma, he advocated for its inclusive nature, stating it embraces all humanity without harm. He criticized political approaches that undermine Sanatan Dharma while pretending to support secularism, stating such actions promote division. Yogi vowed that any forces obstructing Sanatan Dharma or Ayodhya’s development would face the same consequences as the state’s criminal elements, asserting that they would not stop until Lord Ram’s mission is fulfilled and all barriers to Sanatan Dharma are removed.
