New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday attacked Congress and alleged that congress is collaborating with BJP.
In a video message to Congress supporters, the former Delhi chief minister reiterated that voting for Congress would essentially benefit BJP in the polls.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal says, “I want to talk to the supporters of Congress party today. Recently, a few people came to meet me. I asked them who they would vote for. They said to Congress. I asked them why would they vote for Congress when there is nothing left of them in Delhi…They said the Congress isn’t the same anymore now. They said the amount Congress supporters work to make sure Congress wins, and the party leaders work to make sure the party loses. They also said that it is clear that Congress aims to make sure AAP loses Delhi elections and the party is working along with BJP for this. Congress leaders say nothing against BJP leaders but only AAP leaders….I told them if they voted for Congress, they would benefit the BJP… ”
“I told them if they vote for Congress, the BJP will come to power and ruin the schools, stop free electricity and water, close the Mohalla Clinics, and end free bus travel for women. It will cost at least Rs 25,000 rupees a month. Where will you get that money? They agreed and said I was right and that they would vote for the broom,” Kejriwal said.
The Congress and AAP have traded barbs at each other ever since the two parties, who are allies under the INDIA banner, announced to contest the Delhi elections separately.
Appealing to Congress supporters to vote for AAP, he argued that Congress leaders never speak against BJP leaders but constantly slam AAP, and added that if the BJP comes to power, they will discontinue the welfare schemes introduced by the AAP government in Delhi.
