Kolkata: Kolkata Police are investigating the unexplained deaths of two women and a minor, whose bodies were discovered in their home in the Tangra PS area on Wednesday. The discovery was made after three men, including a minor, were hospitalized following a road accident in the Garfa PS area and provided preliminary information.
All six individuals involved in the case are related, and the police are working to verify the statements given by the men. The identities of the victims have not been revealed by the police.
Kolkata Police Commissioner Manoj Kumar Verma told ANI, “The bodies of three females, including one minor, were found in 21 C in the Tangra PS area… Three men were hospitalized after a road accident in the Garfa PS area, and their statements led us to this location where the bodies were discovered… These statements are being verified… All six people belong to the same family… It is difficult to say at this point whether this is a case of murder or suicide… Two of the men are in the ICU… The minor girl had no visible injuries, so it’s challenging to determine the cause of her death…”
The police are continuing their investigation to understand the circumstances of the deaths. While two of the men remain in critical condition, the lack of obvious injuries on the minor makes it hard to immediately ascertain the cause of her death.
