Preparations for Kumbh mela 2027 underway in Haridwar: Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami

Uttarakhand: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that preparations are in progress for the upcoming Kumbh Mela, which will be held in Haridwar in 2027. He emphasized that the state’s tourism sector is experiencing rapid growth. Dhami also mentioned that the ongoing Char Dham Yatra is progressing smoothly under the leadership of the Prime.

Uttarakhand: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that preparations are in progress for the upcoming Kumbh Mela, which will be held in Haridwar in 2027. He emphasized that the state’s tourism sector is experiencing rapid growth.

Dhami also mentioned that the ongoing Char Dham Yatra is progressing smoothly under the leadership of the Prime Minister. He highlighted efforts to develop other religious sites and noted that the winter yatra has started successfully.

The Chief Minister pointed out that Uttarakhand has topped the NITI Aayog’s SDG index among small states, reflecting the state’s balanced progress in ecology, economy, and technology, which has earned recognition for its development efforts.

Dhami shared that the G20 Summit held in Ramnagar received positive feedback from international delegates, leaving a good impression of the state.

He listed several key projects, including the fast-paced work on the Char Dham all-weather road and ongoing renovations of Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines. He also mentioned that Pantnagar airport is being expanded and is on its way to becoming an international airport.

The CM highlighted the state’s focus on employment, noting that approximately 24,000 jobs have been created so far. He also mentioned that a strict law against cheating has been introduced. Dhami emphasized that the Uttarakhand Government implemented the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) as promised during elections, fulfilling their political commitment under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
