Panna (Madhya Pradesh): A major accident occurred at the JK Cement plant in Panna on Thursday morning. A slab was being poured in an under-construction part of the plant, where hundreds of workers were employed. Suddenly, scaffolding collapsed, resulting in the deaths of more than two workers, while approximately 50 others were injured.
Company sources reported that rescue operations are underway. The injured workers are in serious condition. Police forces arrived at the scene immediately after receiving news of the incident, and rescue operations have started. Ambulances are also on-site; however, the injured workers have not yet been taken to the hospital. Efforts are being made to rescue several workers trapped under the rubble.
To ensure safety, entry into the factory has been completely restricted. Police and administrative teams are working to extract workers trapped in the debris. However, the exact number of deceased and injured has not yet been confirmed by the authorities. The administration is investigating the causes of the accident.
