Officials report that around 400 million devotees have already participated in the ongoing Mahakumbh. The gathering has attracted people from all over the world, including notable leaders such as Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who participated in the sacred Kumbh Snan. Rajasthan’s Deputy CM, Diya Kumari, commended the initiative, stating it provides a wonderful opportunity for the cabinet and MLAs to unite in prayer for the nation’s well-being.

On Saturday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, along with his ministers and senior bureaucrats, will visit Prayagraj for the holy dip at the Sangam. Deputy CM Diya Kumari expressed gratitude for the Chief Minister’s initiative, emphasizing the positive impact of the cabinet’s participation in the Mahakumbh.

Rajasthan Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham congratulated CM Sharma for promoting the conservation of cultural heritage and confirmed that the Rajasthan government plans to hold a cabinet meeting during the event to make important decisions. He thanked the CM for facilitating the holy dip at the Mahakumbh.

Deputy CM Prem Chand Bairwa added that the ministers will pray for the happiness of the entire nation at the Mahakumbh.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, held in Prayagraj—a significant site of faith for millions—draws a massive influx of pilgrims from across India and beyond for the sacred Kumbh Snan. Just a day prior, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also participated in the holy dip at Triveni Sangam during the Mahakumbh Mela.

Commencing on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), Mahakumbh 2025 is recognized as the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering, attracting devotees globally. The event will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26, with expectations of setting new attendance and participation records.
