Maharashtra: A tragic incident occurred in Thane district, Maharashtra, where a three-and-a-half-year-old boy died after a fire broke out at a house near Kasara Bypass in Shahapur village.

The fire reportedly started around 8 a.m. on Tuesday at the residence of Dattatray Bule. Eyewitnesses recount that a group of boys on their way to play cricket noticed smoke and flames, prompting them to stop and attempt to extinguish the fire with whatever water they could find nearby.

Due to a lack of sufficient water, they faced difficulties in controlling the blaze. During their efforts, one of the boys realized that a child was trapped inside the house. Quickly deciding to act, the boy entered the burning structure and managed to rescue the child, Krishna Bule.

Krishna was immediately taken to Kasara Primary Health Centre and then referred to Kharadi Rural Hospital for further treatment. Sadly, he passed away en route to the hospital.

By the time private water tankers arrived to assist, the fire had already consumed the entire house. According to Kasara Police, initial investigations suggest that the fire might have been caused by a short circuit, although the exact cause is still under investigation.

The Thane Disaster Management team responded swiftly, entering the burning house while wearing wet blankets to help extinguish the fire and rescue anyone still trapped inside.

Kasara Police have initiated a formal investigation into the incident. The local community remains in shock over the loss of such a young life. Authorities are expected to continue their inquiries to determine the cause of the fire and whether safety measures were adhered to.
