Martyr Navy Officer Vinay Narwal’s ashes immersed in Ganga; Family demands strict action against terrorists

Haridwar: The ashes of Navy Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, who was martyred on 22 April in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, were immersed in the Ganga. While immersing the ashes, his family members started crying bitterly. On Friday afternoon, his father Rajesh Narwal and brother reached Haridwar from Karnal, Haryana with his ashes. The ashes were immersed in the Ganga as per the rituals at Har Ki Pauri. Tirtha priest Suraj Sharma performed the immersion of ashes.

During the immersion of ashes, his father Rajesh Narwal started crying bitterly on the death of his young son. During this, Lieutenant Vinay Narwal’s father said that he appeals to the government that what happened with our son should not happen with anyone else in the future. The government should take strict action against terrorism. The terrorists who have killed innocent people should not be spared at any cost.

Let us tell you that Vinay Narwal of Karnal, Haryana got married on 16th April this month. His reception was held on 19th April, four days before the attack. He had gone to Kashmir with his wife for a holiday. Vinay Narwal had started working in the Navy only two years ago. 26-year-old Vinay was currently posted in Kochi. On 22nd April, terrorists shot Vinay Narwal near the chest, neck and left arm and he died on the spot.
