Bhopal: Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, is set to distribute laptops to 89,710 meritorious students from government schools today. These students achieved 75% or higher in their Class 12 examinations for the academic year 2023-24.

During an event in Bhopal, CM Yadav will personally hand out laptops to some of the students. He emphasized that technology will pave the way for a brighter future and affirmed the government’s commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of talented youth in Madhya Pradesh.

The initiative will see Rs 224 crore deposited into the bank accounts of these students, who passed their exams under the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. Yadav reiterated the government’s dedication to providing resources that encourage academic excellence and skill development among students.

He also highlighted the government’s goal of creating job opportunities for young people and transforming Madhya Pradesh into a progressive state. On social media, he extended his best wishes to the students, stating that those on the merit list will receive Rs 25,000 for a laptop today. However, this financial assistance will not extend to students from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

This laptop distribution scheme was initially introduced by former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in July 2023, who now serves as the Union Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development.
