Our Para athletes have realized the motto of ‘Is Baar Sau Paar’ by winning 100 medals in Asian Para Games 2023 and has made every Indian proud. The 100th medal was won by Dilip Mahadu Gavit who not just brought a gold medal but made India scripts history by securing 100 medals in the tournament. India surpassed the last year medal count day before yesterday and with this feat Para athletes contingent have proved themselves the most successful contingent ever.

PM Narendra Modi took to X and congratulated the athletes for their phenomenal achievement. He said, “100 MEDALS at the Asian Para Games! A moment of unparalleled joy. This success is a result of the sheer talent, hard work, and determination of our athletes. This remarkable milestone fills our hearts with immense pride. I extend my deepest appreciation and gratitude to our incredible athletes, coaches and the entire support system working with them.”
He further added that these triumphs inspire all of us and serve as a reminder that nothing is impossible for the youth of our nation.
